Event Horizon

An event horizon is a boundary beyond which events cannot affect an observer.

IT IS THE BOUNDARY OF A BLACK HOLE.

Once an object crosses this boundary, things get weird.  Time starts to warp, Causality goes into reverse, information is spread across multiple dimensions as increases in gravity begins to do its work. At this point, anything that passes through the Event Horizon, falls into an inescapable "Hole".

As a particle moves closer to the Event Horizon, spacetime deforms where pathways tend towards the Black Hole. After an object passes through the Event Horizon, all the laws governing normal spacetime break down.

At the center of this vast space, spacetime enters a Gravitational Singularity, the apex in the curvature of Spacetime where the mass and gravitational field of a celestial body reaches infinite levels.

The Event Horizon is the edge beyond which, nothing can escape.  It was commonly believed all objects entering a Black Hole are crushed, and all information in it is obliterated and disappears from existence.

What a Horizon Is.

1.) In Philosophy - Horizon is a metaphor in Philosophy for Meaning. In Hermeneutics, the Horizon is the range of vision that includes everything that can be seen from a particular vantage point.

To the hermeneutic scholar Hans-Georg Gadamer:

a person who has no horizon does not see far enough and hence over-values what is nearest to him. On the other hand, 'to have a horizon' means not being limited to what is nearby but being able to see beyond it... working out the hermeneutical situation means acquiring the right horizon of inquiry for the questions evoked by the encounter with tradition.

"Fusion of horizons" is a concept describing the meeting of meanings that happen in a dialogue where speakers and listeners are able to let go of their singular socio-historical horizons, so that universal meanings might emerge from a merging between the perspectives of humans and the Life-World they inhabit.

2.) In innerdance - Horizon both connotes range of vision and Horizontality, the proprioception laying down in modes of surrendering one's 3-dimensional orientation of Time and Space as the mind enters one's Event Horizon. In the spiritual practice, it is possible to transcend one's personal range of vision paradoxically by neurologically inverting the ways vision has evolved in the human brain. In the Horizontal, a Horizon appears.

To Gadamer, true horizon-merging is made seemingly impossible by two features of Thought:
  • objectivism - the belief that one can only understand another by forgetting oneself.
  • absolute knowledge - the belief that universal history can be articulated within a single horizon.

What can the Black Whole teach us about Horizon-Merging and Horizontality?

Before objects are crushed into Singularity within the Black Hole's dense and empty space, a 3-D object's image is preserved at the Event Horizon. At the surface of the Black Hole, the information is encoded and preserved.

Dream is Retrieval of Horizons

The Event Horizon is metaphor for an new understanding of Dreamtime - Dream mediates our 3-D wake realities and Deep Sleep's point of Singularity.

In the 1970's Daniel Dennett especially forwards the Cassette Theory of Dream, where dreams are the product of instantaneous memory insertion at the moment of awakening; they are pre-scripted cassettes inserted into memory, ready for replay at the onset of consciousness.

The Received View claims that dreams play out approximately in real time and do not happen instantaneously. The Cassette Theory of Dream is opposite to this traditional understanding that dreams are a sequence of experiences that occur during sleep.

On Dennett’s model, dream recall is the first time the content is experienced. During sleep, consciousness lives in an infinite library of Cassette Tapes, and at the last moment it wakes up, the mind pulls out just one cassette tape playing out one version of a narrative, which in the Black Whole of Sleep, is a resource center of infinite horizons.

On this construct, there are three layers of experiences in the innerdance process:
1.) Sleep - is likened to Gravitational Singularity
2.) Dream - is likened to the Event Horizon
3.) Wake - is likened to the Universe

While all these layers are represented in the vibratory stages in the playlist and the Circadian Sleep Stages, some people express experiences from either of these three states of consciousness:

i became nothing

i saw how i am everything

i saw my life flashing before me

One type of experience is as important as the others. Facilitators must develop an observation of how each is determined by a host of internal and external conditions specific to the moment, the space and those present in the space.
The next audio files are essential parts of the study process, please listen carefully, as they bring up Dream Theory and its connections to what the Indigo holds within the innerdance frameworks.
