time perception

It was just a few months after I had left the island in 2007. I found myself in another island called Camiguin in Mindanao, where I met a group of South Korean high school students by chance who were on an immersion program organized by a good friend of mine.

These were the days prior to there being something called the innerdance - before the workshop formats that uses music and advises people to lay down on yoga mats in organized places.

Historically, these moments shared with the South Korean students were the first proto-manifestation of what would later become the innerdance workshop.
A strange synchronicity took place in 2016, ten years after I had first met these Koreans. One of those young students was attending an ecovillage training in Thailand where an innerdance workshop was held. After first experiencing the process, Donggun realized that it was exactly the same energy he first felt in the Philippines a decade past, quickly making the connection. Donggun came to Palawan in 2019, giving me a chance to reconnect with a moment in 2007. A filmmaker named Joyce was able to document Donggun’s story, which creates an interesting discussion as to innerdance’s revelations on the nature of circular time.
“The first innerdance I ever had was one of being held in the bosom of the earth. I saw myself in a deep pit lying flat on the ground with my eyes just gazingat the sky. Later, I saw myself in a white dress standing on a rock looking at the vast ocean.

At one point, I was witnessing the first flames coming out of cracks in the earth’s crust. My earliest memory in human history was witnessing myself as a primitive man in a vast area. My cheeks were painted with aqua stripes. Eventually, some of the deepest and often painful innerdance experiences took me back to archaic moments in Africa, North America. This has helped me to understand how the past and the future are entangled somehow influencing each other.”
Maite, from Manila

"One thing consistent in innerdance since the first ones I have experienced is that when Pi is facilitating the process, something curious happens. When he is speaking in the sessions, the words are talking about events that have already taken place seconds or minutes past, which means in the innerdance,  we are somehow tapping into a time that doesn’t follow the normal linear sequencing that organizes past, present and future."
Flor, from Palawan
"innerdance replays cyclical event from the past. I remember parts long-forgotten but evidently very much still there. ID has helped me to find connections between intense childhood spiritual awareness which I could only piece later on in adulthood, as I held more parts to reflect what I could only see in wholeness as an innocent child. How was it I was being made to perceive flashbacks of what was in my bloodline. Since I made these connections, the flashbacks are occurring less frequently."
Carmen, from Italy
“in the beginning of the experience, a huge electrical storm was happening inside my head. From time to time my body would shudder for a few seconds as vibrational translations occur like mini-earthquakes. My eyes sink deep inside my head and the intense energies are directed upwards as deep REM takes place. I watch while what feels like the Big Bang happens in my consciousness.

In this vast space, I began to sense what it was like to be Earth prior to any concept or thought. As I moved my hands, I was moving as rocks and stones move.  The sensation is indescribable, I have never felt anything close to this before. How are we able to move with such density and slowness?”
Caroline, from Bali

Time is Yoga, unto itself, stretching out until the ends of beginnings, the beginnings of endings meet.  The innerdance discontinues linear time, creating eventual spatial continuities in an existential cycle in which interconnections in thought and experience find convergence in Space, what is made separate in Time.

This manifests through Retrocausality and Regression. Instead of operating in forward motion. Time seems to flow backwards, reversing causality whereby effects abnormally precede causes.

The music in the innerdance process holds a key to understanding how Time shifts in the journey.  The playlist underwent important evolutions through many years, which we hope to bring into conversation to explain how different alterations of consciousness are facilitated through the changes interdependent between  music, history, the brain and states of consciousness.
