Maia Earth Village is a ten-year ecovillage project in the outskirts of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines. Since its founding, Maia with its Bahay Kalipay Retreat Center has made considerable contributions in healing systems (through innerdance), alternative housing, disaster management, waste systems (through ecobricks), gentle birth, raw food nutrition, education and community organizing.
Maia hosts practitioners in many fields, who live sustainably in a seven-hectare property in service to the local community. Through the years, we have provided programs for local and international communities who visit us to spend some experiences in: - Permaculture - Healing and Transformation Medicine - Sustainable Mudhouse building - Spiritual Process - Disaster Management - Building Water Systems Alternative Schooling and Child Care - Gentle (and Water) Birth - Raw Food Nutrition - Ecovillage Design
Currently, the earth village's main focus is to assist in the creation of an open space library of insights that hold deep regard for the many transformations in human consciousness. As a resource center for innerdance, Maia hosts discourses, trainings and research programs that assist communities from different parts of the world that are conducting various training processes and ways of applying the learnings in different fields.
