Meditating on my birthdate being on July 7, 1976 (7/7/76), all of my thoughts spiraled onto a circular shape I constructed using large rocks, composts, shells, wood and other found objects. It was from this circular Garden that I would first experience the Universe emerging from my Consciousness.
On the Seven Circles within the Seed of Life, I inscribed the Keys of Seven. Pi is the 16th letter of the Greek alphabet, the number 1 being the Violet in the middle, the number 6 being the circles around the core. Within these 7 circles, 7 circles were contained in 7 more. r |
Outside the Seed of Life, I carefully inscribed the 12 Circles for the outer layer of the Flower of Life. Mu is the 12th letter of the Greek Alphabet, which here represented the 12 layers of the musical scale, the lunar months of the year, the 12 basic hues of the color wheel, the 12 figures in many religions, the units of time per day.
The Mandala garden even then served as a color chart that mapped out relational systems that made sense in circular formats rather than the vertical way in which the chakras are normally presented. |
Fractals
Fractals are never-ending patterns, infinitely complex patterns that are self-similar across different scales. They are created by repeating a simple process over and over in an ongoing feedback loop. Driven by recursion, fractals are images of dynamic systems – the pictures of Chaos. Geometrically, they exist in between our familiar dimensions. Fractal patterns are extremely familiar, since nature is full of fractals. For instance: trees, rivers, coastlines, mountains, clouds, seashells, hurricanes, galaxies. etc. Fractals are not limited to geometric patterns, but can also describe processes in time, sound, mental structures, language, art, architecture, technology, and the brain. |
Metaphor, Recursion and Universe
Our own Milky Way galaxy has a Black Hole named Saggitarious A*, which visually serves as the center of our Outer Spaces. Mandalas are art forms in South and Southeast Asia that help its viewers perceive the infinite parts of the cosmos by holding a clear middle point. It was as if the early creators of it intuitively understood that at the center of the Universe, is a centrifugal Wholeness where expanding forces implode back to the Heart of Creation. |
If one was to imagine the architecture aspired by the innerdance playlist, Sacred Geometry serves to provide a visual realization of our present omni-centric cosmologies whereby each dimension of consciousness represented by a color or sound also contains a rainbow and a musical scale unto itself, a constant recursion of sevens within sevens.
